Military.

Born in Jacmel in 1827. He entered the army in 1843 in the 30th regiment. General, commander of the Grande Riviere du Nord from 1876 to 1888. Commander of Fort-National in Port-au-Prince. Chief of the General Staff and head of the Presidential Guard of Sylvain Salnave. Following the resignation of Boisrond Canal, the Central Revolutionary Committee formed a provisional government of which he was a member. Appointed by decree dated October 3, 1879 Secretary of State in charge of the War and Navy Departments (October 3, 1879 – October 23, 1879). He rose up on August 5, 1888 against the government and formed a revolutionary committee.

He proclaimed himself general-in-chief of the revolution and left Cap-Haitien to go to Port-au-Prince. Appointed by decree dated August 24, 1888 member of the provisional government and by decree dated September 1, 1888 charged with the rank of Secretary of State for War and the Navy. Candidate for President. He was assassinated in Port-au-Prince on September 28, 1888 and his national funeral took place on September 29, 1888.
