Haiti's Lascahobas Arrondissement is comprised of several cities and towns, one of which is Savanette. Among the best things about Savanette, which has two communal sections, is its clean surroundings and natural abundance. It has established positive, collaborative relationships with the bordering Dominican municipality of Hondo Valle. The two town centers are 14 kilometers apart, and scores of Savanetiens participate in Hondo Valle's weekly bi-national market, on Sundays.
