Route Departementale 116 is a departmental road in northern Haiti. Route 116 links the town of Pilate to both the RN-1 and RN-3.
Route description[]
Route 116 begins in the business district of Gros-Morne at Route Nationale 5, across from the marketplace. It heads eastward along the main road, before turning southeast, leaving the urban area to join the path of Les Trois Rivières, paralleling this river as it does. It then bends eastward along the river, passing through the rural village of Boucan-Richard. Approximately four miles later, it then crosses over departmental lines into the Northern Department, at the town of Pilate. Just over the border, the road comes across the village of Ravine Trompette and 2.5 km (1.5 miles) later, the road bends southward for about 1 km until it rejoins Les Trois Rivières where it bends eastward, following the river into Pilate Town Center and soon after, the town of Plaisance. It continues through the northwestern part of town, passing through the rural Colline Gobert and Bassin sectons of town. At the river bend, there is a small stream which acts as the western limit of Ville de Plaisance, the town's center. It is approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) from this stream to the route's ending at Route Nationale 1.
