Rivière Lociane, also called Rivière L'Océane, is a watercourse that flows through the Northeast and Central Departments in Haiti. It is a tributary of the Artibonite River.




Geography[]

This river has its source in the Massif du Nord near the town of Mombin-Crochu. It receives the waters of the Victorine rivers at the height of the town of Cerca-la-Source.

After a course of approximately 45 kilometers (28 miles), the Lociane river flows into the Artibonite River near the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic .

The Lociane River fertilizes the central plains of Haiti. The river crosses the town of Cerca-la-Source.
