Rivière Hinquitte is a river in central Haiti.

About[]

Rivière Hinquitte is located in the commune of Hinche and flows at the town's entrance, receiving water from the Laplatille Ravine. The Hinquitte coal basin stretches from Thomonde to the left bank of Guayamuco River. Notable outcrops are visible in the Laspatille Ravine, in proximity to Hinche, extending to Lasguamas. The collected samples are categorized as jayets.

The Hinquitte coal deposits are situated on jayet. They are located atop green sandstone.

Flow[]

The river originates at the border of Thomonde and Hinche in the highlands at Morne Sanovia, part of the Bois-Rouge Mountain Range. The river crosses the Hinquitte Plain before reaching the City of Hinche and draining into the Guayamouc River.
