Pémerle is a communal section in the Nippes Department of Haiti. It is the third communal section of Fonds-des-Nègres.
History[]
This sugar plantation located in the rural section of Fond des Negres, in Miragoane commune, was reunited with that of Butel and put up for sale by the law of March 14, 1814 to raise the culture and increase the number of properties.
There is a habitation of the same name in the commune of Les Cayes, where General Moreau was arrested under escort in 1806 at the Karatas when he took arms against Dessalines, and where he was shot on September 8th. Madame Veuve Geffrard gave the sepulture.
