The Plain of Maribaroux is a coastal plain located at the foothills of the Northern Mountain Range, located 50 km (30 miles) east of the northern capital Cap-Haïtien. The main municipality is Ferrier, formerly called Maribaboux, which gave it its name. It is a large agricultural region irrigated by several rivers.
The plain is irrigated by the Jassa, Canarie, Bannique and Lamatrie Rivers.
