History[]
- On August 2, 1802, the famous gang leader, Sans Sauci was camped at Mapou de l'Escalier on the border of Plaisance and Ennery against the French.
The troops of General Seide Thelemaque, commander of the district of Cap, commanded by General Rosa, were defeated at Mapou l'Escalier in August 1888 by General Jean Jumeau, commander of the district of Gonaives. The latter did not stop hounding him until he learned of President Salomon's departure for a foreign country.
