La Victoire is a commune in the Northern Department of Haiti.

La Victoire was founded in 1848 and granted municipal status in 1952. It's former name was "David Troy". It has a single communal section and is geographically interior.

Geography[]
La Victoire is located at 19.3353° N, 72.0216° W. According to the IHSI, this commune has a total land area of 31.35 square kilometers (12.10 square miles), of which 97% is suburban and rural and 3% is urban. It is bordered on the north by the town of Ranquitte, on the east by the Northeast Department town of Mombin-Crochu, on the southeast by the Central Department town of Cerca-Carvajal, and on the southwest by the town of Pignon. Its land area consists primarily of plains.

Climate[]
La Victoire has a tropical savanna (Aw) climate, characterized by dry winters. It is warm every month with both a wet and dry season. The average annual temperature for La Victoire is 25ºC (78ºF), slightly lower than the national average. La Victoire typically receives about 62.75 mm (2.47 inches) of precipitation and has 166 rainy days (46% of the time) annually. It is dry for 77 days a year with an average humidity of 77% and an UV index of 6.
The warmest month is August (29.07ºC / 84.33ºF) and the coldest month is January (20.86ºC / 69.55ºF). The wettest month is September (97.38mm / 3.83in) and the driest month is January (27.17mm / 1.07in).

Concerning the economic and financial establishments, there is a restaurant in the town. Hotels and banks are nonexistent.
Infrastructure[]
Education
The Ministry of National Education has been represented in the commune by a school inspection office. At the last census, the town had eleven primary schools (3 public, 7 private and a congregational) and one secondary school (private). In addition, there is a vocational education center and ten literacy centers.
Health
The Ministry of Public Health is not represented in the commune of La Victoire. The town has two healthcare facilities, a health center with a bed and a clinic, operated by a doctor, nurse, and a few auxiliaries.
Utilities
A river, combined with a few springs, taps and pumps were counted in La Victoire. The commune is not electrified. In terms of communication, it does not have a radio station, newspaper, or television station.

The commune has a police station, a prison, and a peace court.

Religion
Nearly 23 temples of all beliefs have been enumerated in the commune. These temples are divided into Catholic, Baptist, Adventist, and Pentecostal.
Organizations
There are two Popular Organizations and two Farmers' Groups in the Commune.
Leisure
Popular among young people of the town and overseas nationals alike is Basen Long Beach, located on the Gouape River, largely used for organized days and cultural activities. Among the other forms of entertainment in the town's are its six gaguères, the football (soccer) field, and a volleyball court. There is a recreation center, "Victoria New Wave Night Club" next to the parish hall. On the quieter side, the town has two libraries, a public square, and a movie theater. La Victoire celebrates its patronal holiday on November 22 in honor of Saint Cecilia.
