Jacmel 💎 (187,253) This coastal city in southern Haiti is the capital of the Southeast Department. Earning the nickname "The Creative City," it is known for its energetic nightlife, vibrant live-music scene and spicy, exotic cuisine, reflecting its history as a melting pot of Indian, French, African, and Spanish cultures. The city is also referred to as the "City of Light," being the first to have electricity in the Caribbean. Additionally, this city has played an important role in the liberation movement of South America. The Venezuelan flag was created in this city by Fransisco de Miranda on March 12, 1806.

Cayes-Jacmel (40,348) Located about 14km (21 mi) east of Jacmel, this small fishing village is known for making the rocking chairs seen throughout Haiti. With a denser population than its surrounding counterparts, this town has less activity going on for it economically. Apart from an unexploited bauxite mine, the economy is largely supported by fishing, agriculture (coffee and fruit), and trade.

La Vallée-de-Jacmel (36,427) The succulent mandarins of this region are renowned for their finesse. This small town, a suburb of Jacmel, is a mix of newly-built modern houses and many small tradidtional dwellings. The population is largely devoted to agriculture and animal farming (mostly chickens, goats, pigs and cows). Apart from an unexploited bauxite mine, the cultivation of lemons have traditionally represented the main economic activity of the town.
Marigot 409c
Marigot (74,700) This small market town has long been a trading town, due mainly to its location along a state road which provides access to a national highway and the market of the Metropolitan Region of Port-au-Prince. Its pebble beaches can accommodate the boats that operate along the coastal towns of the Belle-Anse Borough and the neighboring Dominican Republic. The local economy is supported by agriculture (coffee and fruit), fishing, and trade. The northern portion of the municipality lies within the La Visite National Park.
