• On March 11, 1802, Moupoint, commander of the squadron of the guard of honor of Toussaint-Louverture, furiously loaded the remains of the Dugua division which had just been annihilated by Dessalines in front of the Crête-à-Pierrot, and drove back on the Delaunay habitation a large number of French grenadiers who were all slain with sabers, while Morisset charged them on the opposite side.

• In February 1804, when Vernet had evacuated Gonaïves on Leclerc's approach, some of the prisoners Toussaint had made in the battle of la Croix, along with the whites arrested at Gonaïves, were handed over to a detachment who took them to the Verdure habitation, located next to the village of Petite riviere de l'Artibonite.
